Programming Loops

a simple programming project

About Me

You can ask me questions if you like, just ask on the ask page!

My name is Ryan Rampersad, currently going attending Murray Junior High school in Minnesota, Saint Paul.

I first started web design three years in sixth grade, learning about html and css. I started to learn programming, Visual Basic.net about a year later, and picked up web programming from using Visual Basic.net and ASP.net. It made my web programming goals reachable.

Last year, 2006, I removed ASP.net from my list of web programming languages, because it was very fickle. I picked up php and started to learn Javascript after many months and years hating it(mainly because I didn't understand it).

These days, you can find me working on my localhost, on some Javascript or PHP based file, probably oriented towards Black Stone, a project from 2006, now being the longest last I've ever had!

The programming languages I know, VB.net, C#.net, J#, C++, Python, PHP, Javascript, Qbasic, ASP.net and few others I can't remember. I learned these languages over the years, but primarily in the past two years, since attending Murray.

Back in October, I knew I had to have a science fair project, and I happened to be playing with loops back then. I thought it would be a good project, and originally only planned to have it in .net. Of course, that was too limited, and no fun for me, so I included other languages as well. By October 20th, I had nearly completed all the programming for the project.

Making this website for the project was great! It is the first real website that will be live, that was pre-made on the localhost(unlike before; where everything was tested live on the hosting server).

I've been playing around with Mootools lately (Look at that Navigation...). It's quite interesting to use Object Oriented programming in Javascript. Javascript is probably my favorite language, PHP second favorite.

At the time of this writing, the Minnesota State Science Fair will be starting in the morning, and ending on Tuesday.
